In an article by Kashiwagi et al (Circ Res. 2002;91:e55–e64), “Nonendothelial Source of Nitric Oxide in Arterioles but not in Venules: Alternative Source Revealed In Vivo by Diaminofluorescein Microfluorography,” an error appeared in Figure 6. In panel B, the regression line of the 17 data points is erroneous because it does not describe the correct linear relationship between x (%ΔDAF-2T) and y (density of adherent leukocytes) based on the least-squares method. In the figure legend, the regression equation, W=(12.3−%ΔDAF-2T)/0.045, and the square of the sample correlation coefficient, r2=0.533, are incorrect.
The former should be W=8.3−%ΔDAF-2T×0.050, and the latter should be r2=0.57. A corrected figure and legend are printed below.
