Unipolar Potential Measurements in the Electric Field Produced by an Arbitrary Dipole in a Circular Homogeneous Lamina
Unipolar potential measurements are carried out on a circular homogeneous conducting lamina. One set of potential measurements is made using an averaging net work for the zero potential reference. A second set of potential measurements is made with reference to the Frank-Kay "zero" potential reference on the outside ground of the dipole generating circuit. Both sets of unipolar potential measurements are then compared with the theoretically predicted values. The first set is found to be highly accurate. The second set is found to contain errors which make this method unacceptable.
