To draw attention to the multitude of informative, valuable, and often, beautiful images published in Circulation Research review articles each year, we are proud to introduce the newest feature of our website: Image Gallery.
At Circulation Research, we work closely with our authors to ensure that each review article includes at least one image, schematic, or illustration that best explains or illuminates the overall message. We have created the Image Gallery feature to collect these images, sort them into broad topics, and present them in a way that not only allows readers to browse the collection with ease, but also encourages them consider individual figures for use in presentations or lectures. To this end, each Image Gallery entry links to both the original article and the PowerPoint version of the figure for easy download and reuse (a link for permission requests may be found under the Services menu of each related article).
As a multidisciplinary journal that covers a broad range of topics relevant to cardiovascular research, we anticipate that this new feature will encourage readers to explore topics that reach beyond a particular specialty and promote the development of cross-disciplinary approaches to the study and the treatment of human cardiovascular disease.
The Image Gallery may be accessed from the Circulation Research homepage (http://circres.ahajournals.org/) or directly by visiting http://circres.ahajournals.org/site/misc/gallery.xhtml. We will continue to update the Gallery as new review articles are published, and we encourage our readers to bookmark the page and check back regularly. As always, we look forward to your comments and suggestions on this new feature of Circulation Research.
