Experimental Pulmonary Edema Following Rapid Carotid Infusion: Mechanism and Therapy
The mechanism and therapy of acute pulmonary edema are studied in animals with rapid intracarotid infusion of saline solution toward the brain. Sympatholytic drugs and heparin have a marked beneficial action and prevent the occurrence of pulmonary edema.
