After a finding by the Office of Research Integrity (ORI) that Dr Craig H. Gelband falsified electrophysiological records by reusing the same current-voltage trace as the response of renal vascular cells exposed for 2 seconds to angiotensin II and to caffeine, Dr Gelband has requested retraction of Figures 4B and 4C from the following article previously published in Circulation Research:

Gelband CH, Hume JR. [Ca²⁺]_i inhibition of K⁺ channels in canine renal artery: novel mechanism for agonist-induced membrane depolarization. Circ Res. 1995;77:121–130.

Based on the ORI findings, the coauthor involved in this study had no knowledge of any scientific impropriety related to the collection, analysis, or presentation of data in this manuscript. Notice of the ORI findings of scientific misconduct against Dr Gelband can be found in the Federal Register (Volume 68, Number 217, pages 63797–63799).
