Introduction
|
|---|
The editors of
Circulation Research are
pleased to announce
the creation of a new manuscript category called
Reports. This
new category provides an expeditious forum for
high-priority
scientific findings that can be explained and documented
in
a compact manner. The key features of Reports are as follows:
- Brief but definitive presentation of novel mechanistic
research findings
- Rapid editorial decisions (within 21 days of submission)
- Publication within 4 weeks of acceptance
- Length limited to three pages in the print journal
- Reports appear in the print journal but are much shorter than
UltraRapid Communications (roughly 2000 words and 1 to 2 figures).
Longer manuscripts can still receive expedited review and publication
in the online-only UltraRapids category, which allows up to 7000 words
and 10 figures. As with other categories of original publications,
additional methodological detail or supporting data can be appended as
an online data supplement.
- Effective immediately, we would be pleased to receive papers in this
new category. Please consult the instructions below for guidelines on
submitting Reports.

that individual Reports may use more or less words depending on the
number and size of display items. Submissions that are overly long will
