Effects of Beta-Sitosterol on Regression of Cholesterol Atherosclerosis in Rabbits

Feeding {beta}-sitosterol to atherosclerotic rabbits slightly increased the regression of plasma and liver cholesterol. However, {beta}-sitosterol had no effect on aorta lipid, cholesterol or plaque regression.
